DAY 1: DISCOVERING THE BEACHES OF CAGLIARI
For this first day, we have planned a relaxing start. You will have the whole morning to enjoy Cagliari's beaches under the sun. Among our exclusive suggestions is the Sella del Diavolo (Devil's Saddle), an 18-minute drive from Cagliari. It is a promontory that is one of the symbols of the city, from which you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Golfo degli Angeli. Free lunch. In the early afternoon you will meet in the centre of Cagliari for an excursion to the archaeological site of Nora. The tour through the ruins will help you discover more about this city of Phoenician and Punic origin, visit its theatre and baths, and enjoy the splendid mosaics of its largest domus. On the way back to Cagliari you will take the scenic route along the Santa Gilla Lagoon and have the chance to admire pink flamingos. Free dinner and overnight stay on request.
DAY 2: EXCURSION TO BARUMINI AND THE GIARA DI GESTURI
You will depart from Cagliari towards Barumini in the morning. After a short stop in Barumini, you will visit the most important archaeological site on the island, listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site. During the visit, you can walk through the largest nuragic village found on the island and enter the majestic towers of the Nuraghe, a megalithic structure with five different towers, built in 1400 B.C. Before returning to Cagliari, you will also have the opportunity to visit the Casa Zapata Archaeological Museum. Free lunch and dinner and overnight stay on request.
