THREE-DAY TOUR OF APULIA BETWEEN LECCE, SALENTO AND GOOD FOOD

Always a favorite destination for lovers of the sea and natural beauty, the Salento also offers an extraordinary foray into the culinary delights of this corner of Italy. Good food is one of Apulia's greatest assets, along with the incredible variety of its landscape, where Mediterranean scrub, expanses of fruit trees, and beautiful sandy shores stretch from the Gargano to the Salento.

DAY 1: IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE HISTORY OF LECCE

We start our weekend in Puglia discovering Lecce with a personalised tour and a specialised tour guide. A fascinating tour through the history of Lecce from the earliest Messapian and Roman times to the splendours of the city in the Renaissance and Baroque eras. Our professional guide will introduce you to the history of the architectural splendour of the Baroque buildings. In the afternoon and in your free time, we recommend orecchiette pasta with turnip tops, strictly handmade according to tradition, as well as Bari-style rice with mussels and potatoes or fried panzerotti.

Free lunch and dinner. Overnight stay on request.

DAY 2: EXCURSION TO THE IONIAN COAST OF SALENTO

For your weekend away from home, we have come up with a different itinerary: for the second day, we will stop in Salento.

The Ionian coast is characterised by cliffs and stretches of sand, red earth and vineyards, interrupted by 16th-century towers and equipped beaches. The first stop is Porto Cesareo, a fishing village with white beaches and small islands. The tour continues to the Natural Park of Portoselvaggio, with the Grotta del Capelvenere and the Grotta di Uluzzo, and finally Gallipoli.

DAY 3: LOCAL STREET FOOD TOUR

For the last day of our Apulia tour, you will have the morning free for relaxation or art.

In the afternoon we will devote ourselves to good food. Along Via Libertini you will have the second experience of the tour, a stop at the 'pucceria'. What is puccia? It is a warm, round bread, baked in the oven and filled with marinated vegetables, ham and mozzarella... a real dream. The guide will take us to the nearby fruit and vegetable market to smell, see and taste the true flavours of Salento. You will be amazed by the colours and smells of the local fruit and vegetables.
