Welcome at Catania Airport, and with your luggage in drag, consider the optional group transfer to your hotel. No set plans for the day. MONDAY: ENCHANTING ETNA
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before going on an exciting journey to Mt. Etna, Sicily's crown jewel and Europe's most active volcano. The surrounding territory forms the "Park of Etna," one of Italy's largest protected areas. Make yourself ready for an interesting array of vegetation and landscapes as you ascend to the "Silvestri Craters" at around 1,900 meters. For the extra thrill, you can go on for an optional jeep excursion and cableway (additional cost). After savoring some local Sicilian specialties, return to the hotel for a dinner and an overnight stay.
TUESDAY: SYRACUSE EXPLORATION
Breakfast at the hotel before setting off to Syracuse, an archaeological wonderland that stands out as one of the island's most intriguing sites. Spoil yourself for an extra cost at the Archeological Park, where you'll experience the Roman Amphitheatre, the Greek Theatre, the Ear of Dionysus, the Cave of the Cordari, and the Island of Ortigia—the ancient heart of the city with its splendid cathedral. Return to the hotel, for dinner and an overnight stay.
WEDNESDAY: AGRIGENTO ADVENTURE
Breakfast at the hotel, and then you will meet with the tour escort for an exciting journey to Agrigento. Visit the Temples’ Valley, featuring the Temple of Juno, the outstanding unspoiled Temple of Concorde (a true gem among Doric temples in the Greek world), the Temple of Hercules, and the Temple of Castor and Pollux. Conclude the day with a dinner and an overnight stay in Palermo.
THURSDAY: PALERMO
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. While you check out at 10:00, you can have an optional transfer to Palermo airport or the tempting possibility of extending your journey with a post-tour exploration in Palermo. The choice is yours!
