DAY 1: GRAND TOUR OF MILAN
Discover Milan, the city that will host the Olympic village in 2026. For this first part of the day, we have designed an eco-friendly tour on board a panoramic double-decker bus. Let yourself be captivated by the efficiency and modernity of the city, get off when you want and take time to stroll along the Navigli, in fact, throughout the day you can get on and off the bus as many times as you like. Bad weather? We've thought of that too: you can enjoy the tour regardless of the weather. For lunch we suggest you try the typical Milanese risotto or ossobuco in some restaurant with a view of the Terrazza del Duomo.
In the afternoon we will meet near Piazza del Duomo for a guided tour of the historic centre: we will enter the Duomo and admire its façade, walk through the fascinating Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with its 19th-century crystal vaults, and visit the Scala Theatre and Museum. We will see the Castello Sforzesco and last but not least, you will have guaranteed, queue-free access to the Last Supper, Leonardo da Vinci's UNESCO-listed masterpiece.
After a fine feast of art, it's time for some free time to indulge in a little shopping on Milan's fashion streets or a stroll through the tree-lined avenues of city life.
Free lunch and dinner, overnight stay on request.
DAY 2: DAY AT LAKE COMO AND BELLAGIO FROM MILAN
Discover Lake Como in the beautiful Lake District, a short distance from Milan. Nestled between the immense snow-capped Alps, it is here that the city of Como rises above the lake. The tour continues with a 2-hour cruise on the lake. Admire the lakeside villas and keep an eye on Villa d'Este in Cernobbio, a luxurious hotel set in tropical gardens. During the tour you can dock at the town of Bellagio, one of the most famous towns on the lake, follow the steep alleys up from the lake and stop for a coffee or an ice cream in one of the lively cafés housed in grand historic buildings. Spend some time at ease here before a cruise to Cadenabbia and return to your coach for the journey back to Milan.
Free lunch and dinner, overnight stay on request.
DAY 3: TOUR OF LAKE MAGGIORE FROM MILAN
Early in the morning, we will set off for Lake Maggiore, just an hour and a half from Milan. Lake Maggiore is surrounded by the majestic Alps and is home to some of the most majestic gardens in Italy. After some free time for shopping in Stresa, you will take a scenic cruise on the lake, visiting the Borromean Islands (Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella). On board you will admire beautiful lakeside villas and lush gardens. Finally, you will get back on the boat and return to Stresa for your return to Milan.
DAY 4: BERNINA EXPRESS TOUR FROM MILAN
We've come to the end of our long weekend in Italy and can't help but include a high-speed train tour to Switzerland in our itinerary. Travel through the Swiss Alps along the Bernina Pass to the exclusive resort of St. Moritz: the 'Top of the World'. Along the way you will cross wild gorges and glaciers, cross soaring bridges and loop tunnels. After the train ride you will visit the exclusive resort of St. Moritz, stopping at Switzerland's best chocolate house, and enjoy free time before returning to Milan by air-conditioned bus.
Free lunch and dinner, overnight stay on request.
