DAY 1: DISCOVERING LA SPEZIA

Our itinerary starts in La Spezia, the best-connected city in Liguria, from where you can take a regional train to the nearby islands in just 10 minutes. To get this day off to a good start and immerse you in the local traditions of Liguria, we have thought of a cooking lesson for you. We will visit the famous market and cook a fish dish. You will be surprised by the deliciousness of the dishes you are about to prepare - using only a few but high quality ingredients. At the end you will enjoy one of the most delicious lunches of your life - prepared by you!

In the afternoon, after a nice fish feast, you will have some free time to relax on the beach or take a train to Manarola (15-minute ride) and stroll through its quaint streets.

Free dinner and overnight stay on request.

DAY 2: SESTRI LEVANTE AND VERNAZZA

For this second day, the meeting place is the town of Sestri Levante. Thanks to the particular shape of its coastline, it is also known as the city of the two bays. In fact, it overlooks the Baia del Silenzio and the Baia delle Favole. The presence of numerous sandy beaches makes Sestri Levante an ideal city for families with children. You won't be able to say you've been to Liguria without having tasted real pesto alla Genovese: we will participate in a cooking class in which each participant will work with his or her own mortar and at the end of the lesson will be able to take it with them as a souvenir.

After an autonomous lunch break, we will take a train to Vernazza, the most colourful of the Cinque Terre with its enigmatic alleys and tower-houses, coloured red, yellow and pink. Although popular with tourists, Vernazza maintains its maritime tradition, with fishermen and sailors still active today. Doria Castle, built to protect the village from pirate raids, is now used as an exhibition centre. You can also take a look at the Church of Santa Margherita d'Antiochia.

Free dinner and overnight stay on request.

DAY 3: MANAROLA AND MONTEROSSO

Today we meet in Manarola where we offer you two activities to choose from: a diving excursion with mermaids and mermen or a wine tour.

Have you ever thought of having a Disney movie fairy tale experience? Of swimming like a mermaid or merman? Learn the basic freediving techniques, accompanied by one of our expert instructors, and swim through the beautiful waters of one of the most breathtaking protected areas of the Cinque Terre.

If, on the other hand, you are a wine enthusiast, we propose a walk through the vineyards, and a wine tasting in the winery. You will discover the winemaking traditions of Manarola with Alessandro, a young winemaker from the beautiful village of the Cinque Terre.

Free time for lunch is foreseen.

After lunch, a train ride (20 minutes) to Monterosso is planned. At the centre of the Cinque Terre, Monterosso is the ideal starting point. We have organised an exciting sunset excursion for you on board a kayak. Moving between caves, coves, inlets and waterfalls, you will appreciate the morphology of the coast, enjoying an aperitif with organic wine and focaccia at the end. The kayak is the ideal means of getting around in these parts.

Free dinner and overnight stay on request.

DAY 4: RIOMAGGIORE AND GENOA

For this last day, we plan to visit two locations. The meeting point will be in Riomaggiore (reachable by train) where you will have an entire morning at your disposal for relaxation, shopping and free time. One spot that we absolutely recommend is the Riomaggiore rocks. To reach the rocks, simply descend the stairs leading to the port and then climb the narrow stairs on the left-hand side. This will take you to the viewpoint, which is located in front of the boat ticket kiosk and a famous bar with a view, La Conchiglia.

In the afternoon we will travel by train to Genoa (about 1.5 hours by train) for our last activity: an e-bike tour of the old town centre with an aperitif at sunset. We will cycle along the Golfo Paradiso coast towards Recco, famous for its focaccia al formaggio. Once we reach our destination, we will stop at a typical beach-front location to enjoy an aperitif of your choice. Those who wish can take a swim, before continuing the tour and returning.

Free lunch and dinner, overnight stay on request.
