DAY 1: FOOD AND WINE TOUR OF BOLOGNA
Early in the morning we will meet at Bologna Railway Station to join a gastronomic tour of real Parma ham and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. A fantastic experience in the heart of the Food Valley to discover two world-class products. After a short train ride from Bologna to Parma, we will head to a cheese producer to see the different stages of Parmigiano Reggiano production live. At the end, enjoy a small tasting of two different ripenings accompanied by some local wine.
The experience will last until the afternoon, after which you will be free to continue your exploration of the city of Bologna at leisure or perhaps even take a train to the Basilica of San Luca. The San Luca Express train is in fact the tourist line that connects the historical centre of Bologna with the fascinating Basilica of San Luca, immersed in the splendour of the Bolognese hills.
Free dinner and overnight stay on request.
DAY 2: LAMBRUSCO TASTING
Our itinerary continues to the city of Parma, where today we explore the beautiful wine region with a Lambrusco tour of hills and vineyards.
The morning is free and we will meet again in the early afternoon. We will then reach a Lambrusco winery to begin our tasting of the most famous sparkling red wine. The tour will end with a wine and food tasting served on the panoramic terrace. There it will be possible to practise what we have learnt. Wine pairing with a selection of Parmesan food.
Free dinner and overnight stay on request.
DAY 3: THE UNESCO SITE OF SAN MARINO
For this last day, we have thought of taking you to San Marino, the capital of independence located between Marche and Emilia. You will take part in a guided tour accompanied by one of our expert guides who will lead you through the small streets of the capital among ancient walls, squares and museums, telling you stories and anecdotes about the oldest republic in the world.
Free lunch. In the afternoon, you can return to the places you visited with your guide to visit them inside or take photos at your leisure and enjoy the country for a few more hours.
