DAY 1: EXCURSION TO ETNA AND TAORMINA
One of our drivers will pick you up from your hotel for the first excursion to Mount Etna. Discover the beauty that Mount Etna has to offer, visiting its splendid landscapes and tasting various typical products. The excursion will continue with a visit to a
lava flow cave with helmets and torches. You will then continue to the unforgettable Taormina, admiring the Isola Bella, the pearl of the Ionian Sea. After lunch (not included) you will devote the afternoon to visiting the picturesque Taormina. Return to the hotel in Catania, dinner at leisure and overnight stay on request.
DAY 2: SICILY, ORTIGIA AND NOTO
Visit the wonders that the city of Syracuse has to offer, such as the Neapolis Archaeological Park and the beautiful Ortigia. On this tour you will also visit Noto, a town declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first stop on this tour will be the Neapolis Archaeological Park, which houses most of the monuments of Greek and Roman Syracuse. We will continue with a visit to Ortigia: including Greek temples and Christian churches, Swabian, Aragonese, and Baroque palaces, courtyards, and Arab alleyways. After lunch (not included) the tour will continue with a visit to Noto, home of Sicilian Baroque. Return to the hotel in Catania, free dinner and overnight stay on request.
DAY 3: CATANIA AND SUNSET BOAT TOUR
On this final day you will have the morning free to explore Catania's historic centre on your own. We recommend visiting the Piazza del Duomo in Catania, the Fish Market where you can have lunch, and the Roman Theatre.
In the afternoon, you will have a boat tour with an aperitif on board at sunset in the marine protected area of the Ciclopi Islands: Aci Trezza, the Faraglioni of Ulysses, Aci Castello and the Caves of Ulysses where it will be possible to swim. We recommend you bring a swimming costume, towel, and slippers. Return to Catania, free dinner and overnight stay on request.
