This wonderful fishing town is one of the entry points to the wonderful Zingaro Nature Reserve , and it is where the mountain meets the sea. A perfect place if you are not sure if you want to go hiking or spend the day at the beach - maybe just go for both! Nature here is undoubtedly one of the most attractive elements of the area but so are man-made buildings such as the ancient tonnara, the Moorish chapel or the romantic Bourbon lighthouse.
You might want to spend your first day at the beach when visiting San Vito Lo Capo but there are also a lot of things to see in the town. Then, visit the pretty historic center of San Vito Lo Capo, its symbolic monuments: the Sanctuary.Your next stop from the square should be Via Venza, which is a typical and beautiful street that is now a main tourist attraction.
If you have more time to spend in town you shouldn’t miss the Chapel of Santa Crescenzia, the nineteenth century Lighthouse, Tonnara del Secco, Riserva dello Zingaro and all the magnificent beaches around town.
Did you know that Cala del Bue Marino - Just 4 km from San Vito Lo Capo was awarded the title of "most beautiful beach in Italy" beating the other competitors thanks to the beauty of its rocky landscape and its crystalline sea?
