The picturesque Amalfi coast

The picturesque Amalfi coast

Jul 23, 2022

The Amalfi Coast is a popular destination for its gorgeous views and warm waters. It's often considered one of Italy’s most beautiful destinations, with mountains plummeting into shining seas that are warmed by the sun year-round! If you're looking to take a quick day trip from Naples before heading back home or exploring more deeply in this picturesque area then we've got just what your doctor ordered - here is our foolproof itinerary.

What to do during early morning in Sorrento

If you are looking for a quick escape from the hustle and bustles of everyday life, then Sorrento is your destination. The town has everything that anyone could want: beautiful views ( Mount Vesuvius can be seen in distance), delicious food options like pizza sfoglia or pasta all'amatriciana made with ingredients found right at home. When you arrive, take time for yourself with a walk along the lungomare (seafront) before heading to one of many cafés for an excellent Italian breakfast. Here it's just coffee and pastries but if that isn't enough there is always sfogliatelle - a mouthwatering delicacy made from ricotta cheese dusted in sugar crystals & spices! Gelato and Brioche for breakfast? Not in your life! If you prefer a softer flavor, go with the frolla. But if spiciness is what gets your motor running then try out riccia - it's not totally prohibited after all ;)

The beaches in Sorrento are spacious and beautiful but they can get crowded during peak season. We recommend Arienzo's 300-steps beach for an affordable price. It has both free areas and fully equipped beaches with comfortable prices so you don't have to spend too much when spending time on vacation! This place is also known as the “300 steps” since there are only about two hundred more than what we need before reaching our destination - totally worth every step down towards shore here in Positano !!!

What to eat for lunch in Positano

Head back to Positano’s historic center for an afternoon snack with friends. There are so many delicious restaurants in this small town that you will not be able to pick just one place, but if I had my choosing then it would either involve pasta or Italian meat dishes such as linguine agli scampi (pasta mixed together stairs prawns) and mozzarella di bufala; both must-try items on their own! You may also want to try seafood fra diavolo – called “the king of all fried foods" by The Daily Mail because its deep frying process results .

When you’re on a budget or just don't want to waste time, try cupping your remaining meal. The street food version of this dish is called "cuppo di pesce" (fish soup). You'll be able to finish it off with some Limoncello -- the signature liquor prepared using fresh lemon juice and sugar plus plenty of alcohol that helps break down all those calories after dinner!

Where to take an afternoon boat tour

Renting a gommone (rubber boat) is the perfect way to spend your afternoon. Head over Scoglio dell’Isca, an island in the bay of Nerano where you can swim underwater or dive down with a mask on for some good old fashioned treasure hunting! Or take off from Marina del Cantone - it's only one corner away so don't forget about exploring this natural paradise while there are still sunbeams left before night falls. The sun sets on this pristine beach, and it’s the perfect place to enjoy one last beautiful day before winter takes over. This natural fjord boasts crystal-clear waters that you can swim in or boat around while enjoying stunning views of lush trees lining each side from high up above!

Furore - meaning “wave" (or more specifically: breaker) + deliberately arranged shoreline rocks.

Which pizza choose in Sorrento

Hiking and sunbathing may have made you hungry, but it's time to head back into town for some pizza! You will find that Sorrento has its own unique style of delicious foods. For starters try the fritta - a doughy treat topped with tomato sauce then mozzarella cheese; or if meat isn't your thing opt instead for calzone which contains ricotta cheese concoction wrapped in hammy goodness (and closed up like half moon). There are even more options on offer here so don’t be afraid to experiment- order anything labeled "specialty" alongside one traditional dish such as margherita pizza.

The end of an amazing but busy day is always celebrated with ice cream and some handcrafted souvenirs.

The piazzetta has a variety of stores selling everything from clothing to pottery so you can find something unique for everyone on your list!
