Capri Boat Tour: a trip into the blue

Capri Boat Tour: a trip into the blue

Jul 15, 2022

The Capri Boat Tour is surely the most wonderful experience I‘ve ever had in Italy so far.

Our trip started in Castellammare di Stabia, in Naples. We were accompanied by two guides, Federico and Nicola, who made this experience even more pleasant and amusing! We laughed, danced and sang altogether as Federico and Nicola made every single moment so memorable and unforgettable. These guys could definitely become our new best friends!

We passed by the famous "Mount Vesuvius" which around 79 A.D. destroyed the Roman cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplontis and Stabiae, as well as other settlements.

We made a stop in “Piano di Sorrento” and we learned so much about all the historical places during our way to Capri. Just to make an example, when we passed by Baths of Queen Giovanna, we were told that these ruins used to be considered as the “Baths of the Passionate Queen Giovanna”. The reason why is because she came here with her lovers and then threw them into the sea. What an unpredictable ending for those poor lovers!

Once we arrived in Capri, we found ourselves surrounded by stunning rock formations, a true Heaven on Earth! I really do recommend this Capri boat trip experience, you will not regret it!

The White Grotto also had me mesmerized with its rock walls which rose from the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

After leaving this breathtaking place we went to the famous “Faraglioni di Capri”: three stunning rock formations in the middle of the sea! Those views were so dramatic. Despite this, a legend says that if you kiss your lover or partner under this arch, “your love” will last forever! How romantic and touching! Would you kiss your lover or partner here? This may be an undoubtful proof of your love!

Being in such a marvelous crystalline mirror makes you really want to jump into it! And guess what, we had the chance to do so. I still can’t believe that we swam looking at “Faraglioni”! It was like a gift from heaven. How to put it into words? The sea had two different shades of blue, due to the fact that the bottom is either white sand or rocks. What happens is that the light comes down and reflects back up, resulting in these two tones.

When we went ashore they gave us lots of free time to explore the city and, before leaving us, they told us the best tips not to miss a thing in Capri!

We were advised to go to one of the most beautiful view points so that we could admire Capri from above: Eremo di Santa Maria di Cetrella. Unexpected “hosts” welcomed us: some lovely goats were greeting us during our pleasant stroll! We loved doing some trekking there, surrounded by the wondrous landscape of nature.

After that we moved to “Augustus Garden”, the other place suggested by our fantastic guides. It was a view of endless blue. How can you not fall in love with this magnificent experience!

Unfortunately we could not see much of the garden because of a private event there, but we still had the opportunity to contemplate the great variety of colorful but delicate flowers.

Our trip to Capri ended there and we were taken back to our initial pick up point in Naples, where an amazing sunset embraced us.

If you are coming to the Amalfi Coast during summer do not forget to book your tour with My Tour in Italy! The price per person is very affordable and the experience unforgettable! Needless to say, definitely recommended!
