Palermo no mafia tour

Partecipa al walking tour nel centro storico di Palermo, alla scoperta dei luoghi-simbolo dell'antimafia civile e della ribellione al racket. Si tratta di un nuovo modo di visitare Palermo, dove ogni tappa offre lo spunto per una riflessione sul fenomeno della mafia e sulla mobilitazione civile contro il potere mafioso.

Una passeggiata a piedi di circa tre ore accompagnata dal racconto di chi la città la vive quotidianamente, per conoscerla nella sua vera essenza, al di là dei luoghi comuni. Un’esperienza di vera partecipazione da fare a Palermo.

Il punto d'incontro è a Piazza Verdi, di fronte il Teatro Massimo, luogo che per molti è legato all’immaginario del film Il Padrino, per mostrarvi una nuova immagine di Palermo.

Ci muoviamo a piedi verso il Murale della Legalità sino a Piazza Beati Paoli, per raccontare del legame leggendario (e infondato) fra la setta del romanzo di Natoli e Cosa nostra, passando per il celebre e pittoresco Mercato del Capo.

Raggiungiamo Piazza della Memoria, con il memoriale dedicato ai magistrati uccisi dalla mafia, alle spalle del Tribunale, e poi ancora la Cattedrale, in cui affrontiamo la questione dei rapporti fra Mafia e Chiesa cattolica e l'impegno antimafia di martiri come Don Pino Puglisi.

Ed infine raggiungiamo il Municipio, per tanti anni simbolo del connubio fra mafia e politica, ma che ha vissuto anche la stagione della Primavera di Palermo.
