Rome: Gelato & Tiramisù Class

Without a doubt, this is the most famous Italian dessert in the world, but who makes the best in town? Learn how to prepare a perfect, artisanal Tiramisu, starting from baking the cookies to the final taste. In your Tiramisu course, you'll learn all the secrets of making this amazing and delicious dessert, from the basics to a step-by-step process where you are the cook, not just a spectator. First, you will be introduced to the world of gelato, tasting different flavors and learning the differences between ice cream, sorbet (water-based gelato), and gelato. After training your taste buds with high-quality ingredients, we take a 3-minute walk to the cooking class venue and fully immerse in the world of Tiramisu, learning the importance of choosing fresh and organically-produced foods when selecting ingredients. You'll then receive an apron and be ready to make your Tiramisu with your own hands, but under the supervision of a chef. This lesson lasts about 1.5 hours and takes place in an authentic lab of a real Tiramisu shop run by a professional chef. Meanwhile, you will learn how to make water-based gelato (Italian artisanal sorbet) with fresh and seasonal fruits. At the end of the course, you will receive samples of your Tiramisu, especially your creations, and you'll receive the recipes to recreate them at home. The experience is suitable for everyone, gluten and lactose-free products are welcome.
