Full Description

Visit Florence on this day trip from Rome. Take a high-speed train to the Renaissance city of Florence. Here enjoy a tour of the city, discovering the history and anecdotes of Florence. Afterward, visit the Accademia Gallery to admire the masterpieces of Michelangelo and other famous painters. Then enjoy a lunch break (not included) and finally explore the magnificent works of art in the Uffizi Gallery.

Early departure from Rome - Termini Station. Take the high-speed train and in 1 hour and 30 minutes, you will reach Florence. Upon arrival, head to the city center and meet our local guide who will lead you to discover the history of Florence, from the Roman city to the origins of a fifteenth-century palace, from the Ponte Vecchio, through the famous Uffizi courtyard, to the wonders of Brunelleschi's Dome architecture overlooking the "Gates of Paradise" of the Baptistery. After the guided tour of the city, let yourself be guided to the famous Accademia Gallery, where together with the group, you will learn why David is the most recognizable symbol of Florence and what it represented in its time. How did Michelangelo's genius tackle the challenge of extracting the pathos of a being and fix it forever in the Pietà, or the famous Prisoners who still seem to free themselves from their blocks of marble? You will have the answers to all your questions. Take the opportunity to have a close encounter with timeless artworks and learn about the history of life and the times lived by this artist. Once the visit is over, enjoy some free time for lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Try the renowned Florentine steak or a good plate of pici, a typical pasta from the Tuscany region. In the afternoon, explore another one of the world's most famous museums: the Uffizi Gallery. Your expert guide will explain the works of the greatest artists of the Middle Ages. You will recognize the original paintings of world fame that you have seen in books, magazines, and on TV. You will learn about the secrets of art, techniques, and the artist's tools. By looking at the most famous works of the period, you will be able to understand why Florence was the cradle of the Renaissance. The tour ends at the Uffizi Gallery, where you will have the opportunity to stay longer and wander on your own. Finally, in the late afternoon, take the high-speed train and enjoy a relaxing journey back to Rome.

Todo fue perfecto y los guías muy atentos. La visita fue solo para mi pareja y para mi, fue prácticamente una visita guiada privada.
