Get an introduction to the art, architecture, and history of Siena on a guided walk. Your professional guide will take you to see the main monuments and landmarks as you learn about the history of the city.
Siena is a treasure chest of historical, artistic, religious and cultural riches all waiting to be discovered. The best way to do this is on foot, admiring the city's transformations over the centuries and enjoying spectacular landscapes and curious details. With a licensed guide you can appreciate the main tourist attractions such as Piazza del Campo, the true heart of the city, the Palazzo Comunale, the Cathedral and the majestic Basilica of San Domenico. There will be no shortage of references to the great noble families, such as the Piccolomini, Tolomei and Salimbeni, and their palaces, the great tradition of the Palio di Siena, and also the stories of pilgrimage and sanctity that distinguish the city. The walk continues with a visit to the Duomo, which preserves the treasures of artists such as Nicola Pisano, Duccio di Buoninsegna, Donatello, Pinturicchio, and Gianlorenzo Bernini, as well as its marvelous marble floor, a unique example in the history of art.

Guida in italiano - Molto carina e ha saputo consigliarci dei buoni musei. Ha preso il tempo anche per raccontarci delle storie interessanti. Per un’ora e mezza di tour, molto bene :) interessante!
