Full Description

A guided tour of the capital of San Marino accompanied by an expert guide who will tell you the history of the small republic, among architecture, anecdotes and history

Between Emilia Romagna and Marche lies the capital of independence, San Marino!

Our expert Tourist Guide will lead you through the small streets of the capital, among ancient walls, squares and museums, telling you stories and anecdotes about the oldest republic in the world.

This tour will introduce you to the most important places in San Marino from a historical, cultural and architectural point of view. The itinerary begins at the entrance of the Porta di San Francesco, the main entrance to the city. The gate is also called "Porta del Paese", built in 1361 it was an old guard post, inside you will see a plaque that obliges to lay down your arms before entering the city... this is just one of the curiosities you will learn about San Marino!

Visiting San Marino you will find yourself in an ancient and magical atmosphere, almost as if you were walking through a village from some fairytale! One of the stops of the tour is Piazza della Libertà, a very famous tourist spot.

What sets it apart is not its size - it has modest size - but its harmony makes it unique!

In the centre is the Statue of Liberty, the work of Stefano Galletti, a symbol of the independence that has distinguished the city for centuries.

Another place not to be missed is the Cathedral of San Marino, with its neoclassical architecture, it is the main church of the country and houses the relics of the city's founder.

Our licensed tour guide will tell you the anecdotes and events that have seen the world's oldest Republic remain independent to this day.
