Discover the authentic flavors of Parma on an unforgettable journey through the Food Valley.
This tour invites you to explore two world-famous culinary treasures: Parmigiano Reggiano and Parma Ham.
Your adventure begins at the designated meeting point before heading to a traditional dairy, where the secrets of Parmigiano Reggiano are revealed. Watch the fascinating stages of production, from the extraction of the fresh cheese wheels to the brine baths and the impressive aging cellars filled with rows of golden forms. The experience culminates in a guided tasting of two different maturations of Parmigiano Reggiano, perfectly paired with a glass of local wine.
Next, continue to Langhirano, the birthplace of Parma Ham. Here, you’ll be welcomed into a family-run prosciuttificio to learn about the region's heritage and discover how this delicacy is cured to perfection. Walk through the production rooms and ageing cellars, then savor a slice of Parma Ham aged 24 months, served with rustic bread and local wine from the Parma hills.
This is more than just a food tour—it’s an immersion into centuries-old traditions, where every bite tells the story of Parma’s culture and passion for excellence.

Discovering Parma With Your Stomach… An Awesome Tour. One of the most delightful tours I have ever experienced. Mattia is a wonderful gentlemen from the Parma region. Before providing tours, he used to work in Parmeggianno-Reggiano cheese factories so having him explain step by step what the owners and workers were doing and why was so insightful. He has very good rapport with the owners. I enjoyed learning about the backgrounds of each of the owners of the cheese and prosciutto factories… I understand better why it is a wonderful marriage of Passion and Tradition in producing world-renowned products. The ambience was so friendly. Mattis answered all our questions.Food tasting is always the best part and experiencing how different it tastes from whatever products are sold in North America. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I had great company from citizens of Australia, Germany, India and USA.

Great cheese and prosciutto tour. Knowledgeable and personable guides/drivers. Very well organized. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. The Trentalia train system offers early trains to Parma, so you can make the morning tour even if not staying in Parma. The tour operator offers a meeting point 50 yards from the Parma Train Station.
