The Wine Tour in Manarola

You will leave from the center of Manarola and while walking through the main road leading to the harbor, you will have the opportunity to admire the typical colorful houses and the fishing boats parked along the street. Then you will go up to the cemetery which is located in a fantastic area offering beautiful views from which you can truly appreciate Manarola and even a partial view of Corniglia. After walking through an ancient footpath in the midst of lush gardens you will reach the Alessandro’s vineyards, where he will teach you to identify the different grape varieties and the different methods of pruning and grape growing. The path leads you in front of the Church of San Lorenzo and after walking a bit further, you will reach Alessandro’s wine cellar where you will taste his DOC approved Cinque Terre white wine, accompanied by typical Ligurian focaccia. Alessandro is also a member of the Foundation Manarola Cinque Terre, created in 2014 to protect the cultural heritage of the village. A portion of the proceeds from this tour are donated to help support the goals of the Foundation.
