Trekking on Mount Pollinello

Mount Pollinello is a rocky spur of Mount Pollino that is located at an elevation of 1820 and is easily accessible. Join this hike up Mount Pollinello and in close contact with the local flora and fauna, admiring beautiful plateaus, beech forests inhabited by rare insects, the Black Woodpecker, a bird species characterized by a red patch on its head, and the Black Squirrel, which gets its name from the coloration of its coat. 

You will then reach a rocky ridge overlooking Calabria with views of Morano Calabro, Castrovillari, the Orsomarso Mountains to Sila and the Ionian Sea. Be enchanted by the breathtaking landscapes that only this hike can offer you! Along the way, you will also encounter splendid specimens of ultra-century-old Loricato Pines that only in the regions of Calabria and Basilicata can you find.

At the end of the trail, you will return to our starting point, following the same route you took to venture into the pristine Pollinello trails.
