With this tour you will visit three of the most suggestive attractions of Sicily: Giardini Naxos, Castelmola and the splendid Taormina. Don't miss it!
First part of the tour will be devoted to visiting the seaside village of Giardini Naxos, the first Greek colony in Sicily founded in 734 BC. After walking along the waterfront, we will head to Castelmola, but first brief stop at "Isola Bella," a Nature Reserve considered the "pearl of the Ionian Sea" for its wild beauty. From here, it will be possible to admire the bay, protected by the high walls of the promontories of Capo S. Andrea, home to the renowned Blue Grotto and Capo Taormina. In Castelmola, walking through the characteristic streets of the town, you will admire the ruins of the Norman walls and Piazza Duomo with the Mother Church, rebuilt between 1934 and 1935 on the pre-existing cathedral, and dedicated to St. Nicholas of Bari. The last part of the excursion will be devoted to visiting picturesque Taormina. Along the town's main street, Corso Umberto, closed downstream by Porta Messina and upstream by Porta Catania, the most important monuments will be admired: Palazzo Corvaja; Ancient theatre*; Piazza IX Aprile; Clock Tower; The Cathedral Fortress (Duomo); Old Badia; Palazzo Duchi di Santo Stefano and much more. It will also be possible to store in the exclusive stores that alternate with characteristic artisan workshops.
