One of the most famous sweet of Lucca is the Buccellato, It can be shaped like a doughnut or a parcel, but the flavour does not change. The basic ingredients are flour, eggs, sugar, aniseed, and sultanas. It is excellent dipped in wine. Another great dessert here in Lucca is the Castagnaccio, a chestnut flour cake with pine nuts, orange peel, rosemary and oil, all baked in the oven. What is certain is that you will love everything!
