This is the perfect cooking class: engaging teacher, beautiful setting, delicious food, unforgettable experience. Chef Simone is a great teacher -- knowledgeable, patient, funny, and generous. We not only learned how to make ravioli and authentic tiramisu from scratch (recipes from his grandma), but we also learned about Italian cuisine and culture (and a bit about his life). It was more like cooking together with a friend at his home. The bonus: the class was at his Chianti farmhouse surrounded by a vineyard, the former barn of a once-abandoned house he bought and renovated to raise his young family and dog. It felt authentic, rustic, and unique. It was during the low season so we were fortunate that it was just me and my husband, so it felt like an exclusive class. But really, it was more like visiting a friend at his home, as he made us truly feel at home. We learned a lot about Italian cooking. Best of all, we had an unforgettable and rich Tuscan experience. It's a must!
