Salento between “Borghi” and Breathtaking Overview

The adventure starts at 9.30 a.m. from Lecce, with the first stop in Otranto and its fascinating historic centre, which includes the Cathedral, the Castle and the Basilichetta di San Pietro. From here, the journey continues along the Adriatic Coast, offering breathtaking views, natural vistas and enchanting villages. A stop at the Palascia lighthouse, the easternmost point in Italy, is possible. Longer stops are planned in Castro, a real jewel on the coast, where, if you wish, you can enjoy a lunch with a sea view. We leave for Santa Maria di Leuca, a place that celebrates the meeting of the two seas, the Adriatic and the Ionian. The square of the Sanctuary, with its lighthouse, welcomes visitors with an extraordinary panorama. The final stop on the tour is in Gallipoli, whose ancient village, an islet connected to the mainland by a 17th-century bridge, preserves historic palazzos, courtyard houses, small churches, the Aragonese Castle and the striking Baroque Basilica of Sant'Agata. Return to Lecce is scheduled for around 6.30 pm.
