Siracusa, Ortigia and Noto

The first stop on this tour will be the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, which hostes most of the monuments of Greek and Roman Syracuse. It is the most representative area of ??the ancient Greek city, with vast areas of greenery which gives access to the main archaeological monuments: the Greek Theater, still used for classical performances, the Roman Amphitheater, the Latomia of Paradise with the Ear di Dionisio and the Grotta dei Cordari, the Ara di Ierone and the Church of San Nicolò ai Cordari. You will continue with the visit of Ortigia: between Greek temples and Christian churches, Swabian, Aragonese and Baroque palaces, courtyards, Arab alleys, shops, modest houses and beautiful squares, you can visit the splendid Aretusa Fountain and the baroque Piazza Duomo surrounded by noble palaces. After lunch (not included in the price) the tour will continue with a visit to Noto, home of the Sicilian Baroque, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The town of Noto is a true open-air museum, where it will be extraordinary to walk along the main street, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, and admire the numerous palaces and churches that are worth the title of "stone garden".
