Traveling by train in Italy

High-speed trains are the preferred mode of transportation for most tourists and Italians. They are fast, cheap and convenient. Italy has a very good railroad system that connects the country. You can buy tickets in advance at very low prices.

If you wait until the last minute to buy a ticket, the price will go up, but there are still plenty of hours in the day to choose from. Once you arrive at the station, you can quickly board the train by simply showing your e-ticket. The scenery along the train ride is usually very nice!
