Piazza Navona is one of the largest and most charming piazzas in Rome. With a rich history, multiple fountains and an ancient church that was built in the early 1620s which still stands today - you'll find yourself wondering why this wasn't included on your list of must-see things before!

The lively square has various options for visitors like its restaurants lining its edges offer up some hearty meals, but if you simply want to enjoy a drink then head over tothe many bars you’ll find nearby.

The large size and oval shape of Piazza Navona make it a perfect place to celebrate anything: sports events, festivals and, why not, also socializing. The history behind this square is fascinating; in the past it was called "The Stadium Of Domitian" which also served as an arena for competition among Romans back then!

The Piazza Navona is most famous for its marvelous fountains throughout the square, including Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of Four Rivers). This fountain was designed by Bernini in 1651 to honour His Holiness Pope Alexander VII and stands at one end as an obelisk surrounded among other things that represent each individual river; namely The Ganges River with a seated woman representing India with and dogs holding up bowls filled with water from various sources.

It's not just about enjoying the beauty of Rome; there are many other things you can do as well! For example going inside the Church of Sant'Agnese in Agone, which was built to represent Saint Augustine’s faith. You might want to take note though because it isn't easy to figure out where the entrance lies, but if you're looking for moments of tranquillity while taking a break from their outdoor activities, then this may be exactly what you were looking for.

In Piazza Navona you will be fascinated by artist, musicians and street performers. The restaurants are more expensive tourist locations; it's better to take a break from eating Italian food there if you want some genuine Roman cuisine - but don't worry because there are plenty of them in Rome! Piazza Navona provides an ideal location for hotels and B&Bs; when staying in this historic city- guests not only can enjoy the tasty Roman meals, they'll also visit many other popular attractions like Vatican City without the need to travel by taxi.
