Milan Central Station is one of the most spectacular stations in Italy. It is the second busiest railway station in Italy after Roma Termini. Milan Central Station is pretty good compared to other Italian train stations. Reconstructed in the 1930s during the Mussolini administration, the architecture reflects the center of industrial fashion in the world. Milan Central Station is the largest railway crossroads in the Lombardy region. More than 800 trains operate daily, including central, rural, express and international trains. Milan Central Station is unique as it has daily trains to other European countries such as France, Switzerland and Austria! Milan Central Station is the transportation hub for all public transport. There are also trains to Malpensa Airport and shuttles to other nearby airports. The subway is as easy to access as a public bus. Also, there are always taxis.Local trains are common throughout northern Italy. These trains are less comfortable and slower than express trains. However, they are cheaper and stop in many small towns that would otherwise only be accessible by car.
