The airport was named after Leonardo da Vinci, who designed the first proto helicopter in 1480.
We suggest starting your visit at Palatine Hill where the city was founded. Then, walk to the ancient city center, where many buildings will catch your eye. One of them is the Roman Forum and of course, the Colosseum. Rome is a city you can’t visit in one day since there are plenty of sites to visit:
The Vatican Museums are also a site you can’t skip while you are in Rome but you must make a reservation in advance. Other sites to visit are St Peter’s Basilica; the Trastevere neighborhood, the Fontana di Trevi, the Pantheon, and the Jewish Ghetto. We strongly advise you to eat locally; find yourself in a good trattoria, and eat lots of pasta, pizza, coffee, and ice cream!
