Is There A Dress Code Inside Museums?

In Italy there is usually no museum dress code. However,  the Vatican Museums has a dress code. If you plan to visit the museum and church on the same day, don't forget to dress appropriately and enter the church.

You should cover knees and shoulders and wear closed shoes or smart sandals.
