Is the Roman Forum Close to the Colosseum?

The Roman Forum is just a little west of the Colosseum and is conveniently close by on foot. Between the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia there is a sizable archeological site. The genuine "city" of ancient Rome, the Roman Forum, was where people lived, worked, shopped, gathered, and more. The remains are in amazing shape and provide a fascinating glimpse into ancient Rome. The Roman Forum and Palatine Hill are free to visit with general access tickets and Colosseum excursions.
