The first and second floors of a structure built by Giorgio Vasari between 1560 and 1580 are home to the Uffizi Gallery.
The museum is designed in a very unusual fashion; the longest hallway is almost a kilometer long and provides breathtaking aerial views of the Palazzo Vecchio and Ponte Vecchio.
Following a recent renovation, the Uffizi Gallery currently contains 101 rooms with magnificent artwork and an exhibiting space of almost 13,000 square meters.
