On day two, you could choose between Montalcino and 5 Terre. You can either spend your day in Montalcino, and spend the whole itinerary in Tuscany, or choose 5 Terre, so you can travel beyond Tuscany.
5 Terre: If I told you that in three days, you will also visit another region of Italy, would you believe me? Yes, it is! If you choose the tour of the 5 Terre, you can visit a part of Liguria too. This tour will allow you to admire suggestive and very colorful landscapes! The Cinque Terre tour starts from Florence. Since the tour starts at 7am you will have enough time to enjoy the views and activities.
You’ll first reach Manarola, a tiny urban jewel characterized by Genoese style ‘case-torri’. Then you will move to Vernazza, a village overlooked by the remains of a Medieval castle with a cylindrical tower in which you can enjoy some free time. After that, with a boat ride, you will reach Monterosso, known as the ‘pearl of Cinque Terre’. And at the end of the day, we will all get back to Florence. Read full information about 5 Terre tour. If you are a person that enjoys sleeping in the morning, you can go with our second choice, choose Montalcino day-tour.
Montalcino: Montalcino is one of the most beautiful areas in Tuscany. It is the homeland of Brunello wine, cypresses and Pecorino cheese. On this day tour, you will not only visit Montalcino, we will also guide you to the small villages such as Pienza and Montepulciano! Between the attractions of the city, you will visit a cellar in Montalcino where you will taste wine and a delicious snack consisting of local products.
