Abfahrt von Lecce, der erste Halt ist Polignano a Mare, die apulische Stadt, die durch ihre Einzigartigkeit großen Charme ausübt, mit den Klippen, die auf das Meer blicken, die Altstadt, die die Zivilisationen „erzählt“, die diese Orte bewohnt haben, und die Gastronomie der Gegend. Die Tour geht weiter nach Alberobello, eine der italienischen Stätten, die von der UNESCO in die Liste des Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen wurden und die Hauptstadt der Trulli. Die Altstadt besteht nämlich vollständig aus diesen besonderen pyramidenförmigen Bauten, die sie einzigartig auf der Welt machen. Der nächste Halt ist Locorotondo, Teil der schönsten alten Dörfer Italiens, mit seinen blumengeschmückten Balkonen. Weiter geht es nach Ostuni, auch bekannt als die Weiße Stadt, wegen ihrer charakteristischen Altstadt, die einst vollständig mit weißem Kalk gestrichen war. Die Rückkehr nach Lecce ist gegen 18:30 Uhr geplant.

Valle d'Itria - the beautiful villages of Puglia were an absolute delight to visit. These included Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Locorotondo and Ostuni, which were all delightful. In the morning, our driver picked us up from a designated meeting point close to our accommodation. There were five people on the tour. The driver always dropped us off extremely close to the historical centres or Sassi allowing us time to visit each location, with explicit times to return to our drop off point at each town. It was a full and enjoyable day. My only concern was that the van did not have enough seat belts for everyone, which would need to be corrected from a safety point of view. Otherwise, I highly recommend this tour of the beautiful villages of Puglia.
